Planes, pains and autobahn thrills

Filed under: Uncategorized — Cha Cha @ 12:46 pm

We made it! The airports didn’t give us too much trouble. The only big problem I experienced was carrying around my VERY cute bag that didn’t have wheels! What a disaster. I’m definitely finding something different for the trip home. The flight from Dallas to Frankfurt was a pretty miserable 10 hours. The seats didn’t have much cushion so our behinds were numb after the first hour. No fun. The only thing that kept us sane was knowing we would be seeing Adam, Misty and the kids in a few hours.

We arrived in Frankfurt around 9 am (2am Arkansas time). It was pretty exciting to see Eli for the first time

and to hug those nieces to pieces. We drove about an hour on the autobahn to get back to Adam’s house. That was pretty fun. We were going 100 mph at one point. The scenery was pretty fascinating. They had these fluorescent yellow fields everywhere. I’ve never seen anything like it. It is called rapeseed and they use it to make canola oil and biodiesel.

Tomorrow we wake up and travel 4 or 5 hours to Garmisch. We spend 2 nights there and one night in Rothenburg before we come back to Bann.
